Greg Xander

Campus Missionary

Hi guys, my name is Greg Xander and I am the Campus Missionary for the Bsu here at Truman. I have two kids and one wife.

I’ve been married for 22 years to my beautiful wife, Stacey, or as I would call her “fragile flower." Our 2 kids are strong-willed, and a lot of crazy fun to be with. But we are a “real family” so yeah, love covers over a multitude of sins, is so true in our home - because I am there! But we love each other…and are just trying to make it through life together!

I hope I will get the chance to meet you, because I know you are a work of art - you were made with intention!

Bringing humanity back to the God who loves them without condition…that’s my hope and passion!

John Choi

Hi, my name is John but people call me Johnny! I am an apprentice here at the BSU! I have a huge passion for worship music and interacting with people. Being part of a community that I can call "home" has enabled me to spread the love of the community and God to others as well. I was an international Exercise Science student and am a huge fan of sports. I graduated from Truman Summer of '24 and am beyond excited to take the next step in my professional life on staff. Looking forward to meeting new people and interacting with them!

Hey! I'm Cozette and I've been a part of the BSU since 2021 as a student. Now I'm graduated and in my first year on staff and it's been a blast! I got married this past June to Kyle and he's been awesome to volunteer to co-lead a family group with me this year. So far this year, I have loved getting to know international and domestic students and being on campus. I'm praising God for the wonderful opportunities He has given me to live out the Great Commission!

I'm Mykaela, a first-year apprentice and also somehow a 5th-year senior exercise science major! I love organization and crafts, of which there is quite a bit to do around the BSU. I've been involved with the BSU since 2021 and have found a community centered around sharing the gospel and raising up leaders that when asked to come on staff, I couldn't say no! This semester, I've loved helping student leaders grow in their confidence and giving them support from the sidelines.

Maggie Thompson

Worship Leader

Hello! My name is Maggie and I'm going into my sophomore year at Truman University! I'm majoring in English and planning to be a teacher. I am also the leader of the Worship team here at the BSU! I love music, and what better way to give praise to God than through song. I make it my mission to live with Jesus in my heart every day and to spread his word. I feel the best way to do this is through making new friends and experiences, by stepping out of my comfort zone, and talking to people I wouldn't normally talk to. I heard a quote from Greg Xander at the BSU: "The gospel spreads best through relationships!" That really motivated me to live my life by spreading the gospel through relationships!!!

Hello! I go by Bre! I am a sophomore here at Truman University! I'm majoring in Communication Disorders and plan to be a Speech Language Pathologist. I am also the leader of women's small group and events at the BSU! My mission is to live by following Jesus and to spread His word. I feel the best way to do this is through making friends and having experiences, by stepping out of my comfort zone and talking to people I wouldn't normally talk to. I am passionate about serving others and living in community!

Andrew Watt

Mens Leader

Greetings! Although my first name is Andrew, here at the BSU, most call me by my last name Watt. I am not a Truman student, but rather a 20-year-old farmer here. I love being at the BSU because of all the friends I have made and the supportive community that welcomes all walks of life. Not only do I get to lead the men's small group on Saturdays, but I also get to organize events like basketball and BBQs! I am always looking for more guys to welcome into our community and be friends with so do not be shy to say hi!

Elizabeth Collier

I am Elizabeth, a senior nursing student here at TSU! Some of my favorite things include watching TV shows in other languages, singing, and learning about different cultures. I have studied abroad in France and am feeling called to missions. This year I have been learning what it means to live life on mission and since I have started making it a part of my lifestyle, I am just blown away by all that the Lord has been doing!

Hello! I am Bryce, a graduate student here at Truman State University! Some of my favorite things include writing, singing hymns, and being out on campus.
